The basics of Tiger Rugby

New Partnership for 2014
In January, New Albany Parks and Recreation and Tiger Rugby announced a new partnership for the 2014 season. New Albany Parks and Recreation will serve as a home base for the group. Tiger Rugby will train 2016 Olympic hopeful athletes during the week and operate youth programs on the weekends this year.

Tiger Rugby
In 2016, Rugby 7’s will be an official Olympic sport in Rio. Tiger Rugby Olympic Development Academy exists to develop world class athletes and accelerate the growth of the game. The group routinely travels the world, playing in tournaments to gain experience for their future Olympians.

Serving all of central Ohio, Tiger Rugby has partnered with Rugby Ohio to offer training for boys and girls in grades 2-8. Joel Bonnaud, New Albany resident and rugby instructor will administer the training program held at Bevelhymer Park. For registration information, please visit the Rugby Ohio page linked below.
