The basics of Soarin’ Spikers youth volleyball

Soarin’ Spikers Youth Volleyball
New Albany Parks and Recreation is proud to offer a second season of youth volleyball programs this spring! Whether you are trying volleyball for the first time or you have played before, the purpose of this program is to teach accurate technique and fundamentals in order to improve as a player. Your child will learn all the skills of volleyball including serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking and digging. As these skills are being taught, there will be opportunities to play in a team setting. Players can opt to receive a volleyball as part of the registration fee. All players are required to bring their own ball each week.

Coaching
Coach Charlene Johnson-Whitted has played and coached at the highest levels, including College, Professional and in the 2000 Olympic Games. Her passion is to share her knowledge with children and make them better volleyball players.
